Shage
Shage
(Heb. Shage’, , erring; Sept. v.r. ), a Hararite, appears as the father of Jonathan, one of David’s captains (1Ch 11:34). B.C. cir. 1050. In the parallel list of 2Sa 23:33, he is called SHAMMAH (q.v.), unless, as seems probable, there is a confusion between Jonathan the son of Shage the Hararite, Jonathan the son of Shammah, David’s brother, and Shammah.the son of Agee the Hararite.
