(Heb. Sharar’, , strong, Sept. v v.r. ), the father of Ahiam the Hararite, one of David’s mighty men (2Sa 23:33). B.C. cir. 1040. In the parallel passage (1Ch 11:35) he is called SACAR, which is, perhaps, the better reading (Kennicott, Dissert. p. 203). SEE DAVID.
