“sudden,” occurs in 1Th 5:3, where it has the place of emphasis at the beginning of the sentence, as olethros, “destruction,” which the adjective qualifies, has at the end; in Luk 21:34, it is used adverbially, RV, “suddenly” (AV, “unawares”). See UNAWARES.

a strengthened form, akin to No. 1, occurs in Mar 13:36; Luk 2:13; Luk 9:39; Act 9:3; Act 22:6.
