Rev 21:21 (a) The gold which we see and use is far from transparent. It covers many sins, and evil motives. It is used to bribe and to deceive. Gold plating is used to cover the iron that is beneath. It is hypocritical in many cases. Gold may make a man appear to be a wonderful citizen, when he really is a criminal at heart. The gold of Heaven hides no hypocrisy, no sham, no evil. It is pure in its character, and transparent in its effects.
