(16 May 1578 – 30 January 1606 ) Father of Sir Kenelm Digby . Supporter of the Gunpowder Plot; died London. He was converted to the Catholic Faith by Father John Gerard, S.J., 1599 . Although he did not join the conspirators until the eleventh hour, he was executed for treason.
