Charles Bonaparte

(1803 -1857 ) Prince of Canino and Musignano Ornithologist, born Paris; died there. The son of Lucien Bonaparte, he went to the United States, where he devoted himself to natural science and completed Wilson’s “American Ornithology.” Returning to Rome, 1828 , he published his “Iconography of American Fauna,” 1834 -1841 .
