(Heb. Poke’reth, , ensnaring; Sept. (, v. r. , etc.), the name apparently of a person (P. of Zebaim, the Sept. in some copies supplies son of between the words) whose children were among the Nethinim that returned from the captivity with Zerubbabel (Ezr 2:57; Neh 7:59). B.C. ante 540.
