The Followers of the Faith Are Admonished to Keep Looking for the Mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ

"Looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life" (Jdg_1:21).

The Holy Spirit in Tit_2:11-14 emphasizes the fact that we should live, looking for the Blessed Hope. Jude gives a little different interpretation. Jude says that we should be looking for the mercy which is to be brought unto us, at the Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Mercy is one of the great words of the Bible. Mercy is the basis upon which God the Father approaches us. God dwelt in the midst of the cherubim that overhung the mercy-seat; we nestle beneath, in the Ark, which is Christ our Saviour. God looks at us through the mercy-seat; and we look up to Him through the mercy-seat.

When the Lord comes the culminating glories of God’s mercy, manifested in Jesus Christ, will begin to unveil. As we enter into those blessed experiences of our eternal life, we will understand more and more of the mercy which was brought unto us in Christ.
