126. Christ’s Authority

The Greek word exousia is rendered “power,” “authority,” “liberty,” “right,” and “jurisdiction.”

1. Authority to lay down His life—Joh_10:18, Joh_10:19.

2. Authority to forgive sins—Mat_9:6; Mat_9:8.

3. Authority over demons—Mar_1:27.

4. Authority over sickness—Mar_3:15.

5. Authority to judge—Joh_5:27.

6. Authority over all men—Joh_17:2.

7. Authority in Heaven and earth—Mat_28:18.
