147. Christ’s Death—Seven Facts

1. Effective in Blessing. “By means of death… they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance (Heb_9:15).

2. Victorious in Outcome. “By means of “death He might annul him that had authority over death” (Heb_2:14).

3. Acknowledged in Resurrection. “Save Him from (“ἐκ,” out of) death” (Heb_5:7).

4. Honoured in Place. “Because of (dia, with accusative means “because of”) the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour” (Heb_2:9).

5. Glorious in Purpose. “Through death to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable before Him” (Col_1:22).

6. Exemplary in Pattern. “Let this mind be in you… obedient unto death” (Php_2:5, Php_2:8).

7. Remembered in Love. “Ye do shew the Lord’s death until He come” (1Co_11:26).
