199. Christ, the Centre

If we find our centre in Christ we shall find ourselves in the circumference of life.

1. Christ is the Central Revelation of the Godhead. “Express Image” (Heb_1:3).

2. He is the Central Cause in creation. “All things were created by Him” (Col_1:16).

3. He is the Central Figure in History. “No man hath seen God at any time, the Only Begotten Son… hath declared Him” (Joh_1:18).

4. He is the Central Attraction in the Church. “They saw the Lord” (Joh_20:19-26).

5. He is the Central Sufferer on the Cross. “Jesus in the midst” (Joh_19:18).

6. He is the Central Power in the life. “Christ liveth in me” (Gal_2:20).

7. He is the Central Object in worship. “In the midst of the lampstands” (Rev_1:13-20).

8. He is the Central Glory of the New Jerusalem. “The Lamb is the Light thereof” (Rev_21:23).
