214. Christ, Son of God and God the Son

The first chapter of Hebrews gives a fourfold Sonship of Christ.

1. His Eternal Sonship—Heb_1:1-2, as Creator and Heir.

2. His Expressed Sonship—Heb_1:2-4, as the “Express Image” of the Godhead.

3. His Exalted Sonship—Heb_1:5, as raised from the dead.

4. His Exhibited Sonship—Heb_1:6-9, as the One who will come again.
