224. Comforters

1. The Divine Comforter. “Comfort ye, comfort ye My people, saith your God” (Isa_40:1).

2. The Tender Comforter. “As one whom his mother comforteth” (Isa_66:13).

3. The Merciful Comforter. “Thy merciful kindness to comfort me” (Psa_119:76, margin).

4. The Timely Comforter. “The Lord shall comfort Zion: He will comfort all her waste places” (Isa_51:3).

5. The Saving Comforter. “Thine anger is turned away, and Thou comforteth me: behold God is my Salvation” (Isa_12:1-2).

6. The Pastoral Comforter. “Thy rod and staff they comfort me” (Psa_23:4).

7. The Loving Comforter. “The Lord… to comfort all that mourn” (Isa_61:1-2).
