0241. Restored to the Land

Restored to the Land

"Then the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah onto the dry land" (Jon_2:10).

"I will take you from among the nations, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land" (Eze_36:24).

When Jonah cried, "Salvation is of the Lord," the fish could no longer hold him, and it vomited him out onto the land; when Israel cries and acknowledges Christ Jesus, as Saviour, and Lord and King, the nations must give back their captives to their own land.

When the Lord opens the graves of His people, and when He says to the nations "give forth;" when He puts "His Spirit within them;" when He brings them "into their own land," then will Israel receive her Lord.

This restoration of Israel to her land, is the one voice of the Prophetic Word. "The sum of Thy Word is truth," and the "sum of prophecy" is that Israel shall be brought forth from all countries whither God has driven them. God will surely "bring again the captivity of Jacob."

The day shall come when God’s chosen people shall again inhabit their land, and "They shall no more be pulled up out of their land."

Israel shall yet "build her waste cities and inhabit them." Israel shall "plant vineyards and drink the wine of them;" Israel shall "make gardens, and eat the fruit of them."

The nations will render every assistance in bringing back the chosen people to the land of her inheritance. "The ships of Tarshish" shall "bring thy sons from afar."
