253. Craftiness

The word “craftiness” is rendered “subtilty” in 2Co_11:3; and “cunning craftiness” in Eph_4:14.

1. Craftiness looks out for number one, like Judas—Joh_12:6.

2. Believes in securing the best, like Jacob—Gen_27:36.

3. Sacrifices principle to gain its own end, like Balaam—2Pe_2:15; Jud_1:11.

4. Juggles with its conscience, like Ananias—Act_5:2.

5. Passes itself off for what it is not, like the spies employed by the priests—Luk_20:23.

6. And baits the hook of disobedience with the bait of plausibility, like Satan did for Eve—2Co_11:3.
