The Character of Saul–A Pharisee of the Pharisees

"After the strictest sect of our religion, I lived a Pharisee" (Act_26:5).

Saul was more than blameless in life, he was exceedingly religious. He not only stood for the faith of his fathers, but he was very zealous in his service. At the time of his conversion he had letters of authority and was very religiously persecuting the Christians.

Churchianity cannot save you. Many people are going religiously to hell. The raw untaught heathen are religious; many in civilized and semi-civilized countries are very religious, but that, alone, does not mean that they are saved, and are under the Blood.

A religion of form and ceremony is not Christian, Christ-in, and it cannot take one to Heaven.
