Some Things That Followed Saul’s Conversion–He Began Immediately to Preach Christ
"And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God" (Act_9:20).
Saul was not long in getting busy for God. He did not wait for a long theological training before he preached what he knew. He did go into Arabia and there abode for a long time, while God was teaching him His wonderful things; but he was quick to tell the story of his faith.
And so also should we all. If we are saved there is something in us that burns like a fire, something that will not let us stay. We cannot hold in our joy, nor cease to speak His praises.
Jeremiah once said, "I will speak no more in His name," but Jeremiah soon became weary with his withholding and he could not keep back from telling the story of his God.
Peter and John were positively commanded by the Jewish authorities to speak no more in His name; but, they replied, "We cannot but speak the things we have seen and heard."
When the sinner comes out of darkness into a new light, he is full of words which he wants to speak concerning his Saviour. Oh, that we would always keep that same testimony ringing forth–always telling others of what Christ has done for us.
