428. “He Will… Come”

Heb_10:37

1. Because He has said so. “I will come again and receive you to Myself” (Joh_14:3).

2. Because He is needed. “When He shall come to be glorified in His saints” (2Th_1:10).

3. Because He wants to. “Behold I come quickly” (Rev_22:12).

4. Because the Father hath so purposed. “God hath appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness by that Man whom He hath ordained” (Act_17:31).

5. Because the Scriptures affirm He will. “The sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow” (1Pe_1:10-11).

6. Because creation longs for it. “The earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God” (Rom_8:19).

7. Because He alone can adjust things. “In His days shall the righteous flourish” (Psa_72:7, see whole Psalm).
