Psalms 119 carries the marks of Deity. Not only is its inspiration marked by the way in which the Psalm is written, but the Psalm itself claims inspiration. The Psalm contains one hundred and seventy-six verses. It is divided into twenty-two distinctive groups, and contains eight verses to each group. Before each group occurs one of the successive letters, of the Hebrew alphabet. There are ten distinctive words used, with varied shades of meaning, which signify the Word of God. These ten words seem to parallel the Ten Commandments.

For our study we have divided our treatise into ten parts. We will not be able to do more than select seven or eight passages for each of the distinctive words used.
