0575. Israel's Help–forgiveness
Israel’s Help–forgiveness
"But there is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared" (Psa_130:4).
When Jonah was imprisoned in the depths of the sea, he cried unto the Lord, and the Lord heard his voice. So also will Israel cry out of the depths, and the Lord will hear her cry. She shall be forgiven. Our God will give to Israel a clean heart. He will renew within her a right spirit. O, that the day might hasten, when Israel will turn her face toward the Lord.
The time is coming, when Israel will wait for the Lord, more than they that wait for the morning. In the midst of her darkness, she will be rocked with the waves of her affliction. Vainly she will pull for the shore. Then her Lord will hear her cry. He will leave the mountain top, and come to the boat and immediately she will be to the land.
Israel will cry to the Lord. She will confess her sins. She will say: "We are all but an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses as a filthy rag." Then will the Lord say: "Your iniquities are forgiven and your sins blotted out."
There is forgiveness with Thee, O Lord.
