The Happy Lot of Those Who Go

"And He saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And He saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God" (Rev_19:9).

It is possible here to give but a few glimpses of the glories of the raptured saints.

1. First of all, there will be the new body; the body made like unto the body, of His glory (see Php_3:20).

2. There will be the meeting of loved ones, the living and the dead, and, what a joy that will be (see 1Th_4:17).

3. There Will be the enlarged vision; the perfected understanding. "Now we see through a glass, darkly; but then, face to face. Now we know in part, but then shall we know as also we are known" (1Co_13:12).

4. There will be release from satan, for satan will be cast down to the earth and the heavens will be cleared of all those who defame and deny the Lord. Later on satan will be bound, and shut up in the pit (see Rev_20:3).

5. There will be the meeting with the Lord Himself, and this is best of all. "So shall we ever be with the Lord."

6. There will be Bema judgment, with rewards to saints, and "then shall every man receive of God" (see 2Co_5:9-10).

7. There will be the marriage supper of the Lamb and "blessed are they who are called" (see Rev_19:7-9).

Of all the blessed glories of raptured saints none will equal that of being with our Lord. What rapture will be ours–"So shall we ever be with the Lord." We shall look into His face; we shall hear His voice; we shall receive from His hands our recompense.

My eyes have caught the vision,

And my ears the blest refrain,

Of the happy saints in Glory

Of that raptured Heavenly train;

For the Lord will shout the summons,

And the dead in Christ shall rise,

With the living they will hasten

To the meeting in the skies.
