586. Obedience

Consecration is summed up in the voice of the Lord being “obeyed,” and the fear of the Lord being recognised.

1. Obedience is the proof of being Christ’s sheep—Joh_10:27.

2. The meaning of faith—Heb_11:8.

3. The response of love—1Pe_3:6.

4. The evidence of union with Christ—Rom_6:17.

5. The soul of holiness—1Pe_1:22.

6. The mark of abiding in Christ—1Jn_3:24.

7. The bringer of the Holy Spirit—Act_5:32.
