THE HOPE THAT MAKETH NOT ASHAMED.

Rom_5:5.

I. What this Hope Is.

1. It is hope in the Lord.

2. It is a hope begotten through His Word.

3. It is a hope inspired by the love of God.

4. It is a hope upheld by faith in God.

II. What this Hope Does. "It maketh not ashamed."

1. Of the Master (2Ti_1:12).

2. Of the Gospel (Rom_1:16).

3. Of the Scriptures (Mar_8:38).

4. Of the Lord’s people (2Ti_1:8).

5. Of his own confidence (Heb_6:17-20).
