682. “Rejoice”—the Foundation

Rejoicing in God and in His attributes and blessings as found in the Psalms.

1. Object of Rejoicing. “Rejoice in the Lord” (Psa_33:1).

2. Salvation. “My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation” (Psa_13:5).

3. Mercy. “I will be glad and rejoice in Thy mercy” (Psa_31:7).

4. Protection. “In the shadow of Thy wings will I rejoice” (Psa_63:7).

5. Revival. “Revive us… that Thy people may rejoice in Thee” (Psa_85:6).

6. Word of God. “Statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart” (Psa_9:8; Psa_119:111).

7. Israel. “That I may rejoice in the gladness of Thy nation” (Psa_106:5).
