The Holy Spirit in the Acts

1. Prophecy (Act_2:4).

2. Prayer (Act_6:4).

3. Praise (Act_2:47).

4. Persecution (Act_8:1).

5. Perseverance (Act_14:22).

6. Power (Act_1:8)

The Book of Acts contain, not so much the acts of the Apostles, as the acts of the Holy Ghost through the Apostles. Perhaps the key note of the whole Book is suggested by a passage in chapter 15 and Eph_5:28, which records these remarkable words, "The Holy Ghost and us." We have, then, in the Book of Acts the story of a partnership, a firm, in which the senior member is the Spirit of God, and the junior members are the saints. God hath indeed called His children into a fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ, and every one of us should abound in the work of the Lord unto the which we are called.
