698. Rich Fool

Luk_12:16-34

1. Prosperous in Business. “Ground… brought forth plentifully” (Luk_12:16).

2. Self-centred in Thought. “What shall I do… Layeth up treasure for himself” (Luk_12:17, Luk_12:21).

3. Mistaken in Possessions. “My barns… my fruits… my goods… my soul” (Luk_12:18-19).

4. Deceived in Outlook. “Many years.” “This night” (Luk_12:19-20).

5. God-forgetful in Soul. “Thy soul shall be required of thee” (Luk_12:20); “not rich towards God” (Luk_12:21).

6. Earthly in Treasure. “Those things which thou hast provided” (Luk_12:20).

7. Soulish in Nature. He lived in his soul. “I will say to my soul” (Luk_12:19).
