702. Rules

The child of God, as he lives up to his privileges, observes the following rules:

1. He denies himself—Luk_9:23.

2. He loves his brother—1Jn_3:14.

3. He looks upon the things of others—Php_2:4.

4. He ministers to the need of those who are of “the household of faith” (Gal_6:10).

5. He sympathises with those who are in sorrow—Rom_12:15.

6. He allows others to be preferred before him—Rom_12:10.

7. He seeks to please his Lord in all things—Heb_13:21.
