The Infallibility of the Word

"Now they have known that all things whatsoever Thou hast given Me are of Thee" (Joh_17:7).

From the first words of Genesis to the last words of Revelation, in the original manuscript, there is no false statement.

The Bible never needs any "touching up" to make its science, scientific; to make its history, historical; or to make its literature, classical. Some scientists have thought that the Bible had misstated great scientific facts, but a little deeper research, invariably finds the Bible true, and the scientists in error.

Every human theory, which at all contradicts the Word of God, is sure to fail.

Voltaire imagined that the Bible would be obsolete within one hundred years, but Voltaire is almost forgotten, while the Bible lives on.

There were some who thought that Darwin’s hypothesis would annihilate the Word of God, but Darwin’s theory of evolution is being rapidly set aside by all scientific men, his unproven assertions are being swept away, but the Bible lives on.

Tom Paine, actually imagined that he had put the Bible out of business, but Paine died, lamenting that he had ever written the "Age of Reason," and the Bible still lives on.

And so with Huxley and Hume and Spencer and all their tribe, they lived, and defamed the Bible and died, but the Word of God remained the same unchanging and unchangeable Word of Truth.

Oh, wonderful, wonderful Word of the Lord

The Word that shall ever endure,

When skeptics and critics shall all pass away,

Thy Word will remain all secure.
