One pound of the Spirit’s Graces in equal portions of one ounce each.
1 oz. Balm of Gilead—Jer_8:22.
1 oz. Bark of Calvary—Isa_53:4-6.
1 oz. Syrup of Faith—Jas_5:15.
1 oz. Essence of Love—1Co_13:13, R.V.
1 oz. Oil of Confidence—Pro_3:26.
1 oz. Honey of the Word—Pro_4:20-22; Pro_16:24.
1 oz. Spice of Consecration—Son_4:12-16.
1 oz. Stalk of Uprightness—Pro_14:2; Rom_14:17.
1 oz. Flower of Discretion—Pro_22:3.
1 oz. Root of Contentment—Heb_13:5, Heb_13:6.
1 oz. Herb of Joy—Pro_17:22.
1 oz. Milk of Kindness—Pro_31:20.
1 oz. Frankincense of Worship—Mat_2:11.
1 oz. Dew of Humility—Pro_22:4.
1 oz. Crystals of Patience—2Pe_1:6.
1 oz. Perfume of Praise—Psa_103:1, Psa_103:2.
Pound these ingredients well in the mortar of believing prayer—1Jn_5:14, with the pestle of truth—Eph_4:20-21; add sufficient water of the Spirit’s life—Rom_8:11, till all are mixed proportionately together, and then put up in the jar of a sanctified memory—2Pe_1:12. Apply the preparation three times a day, and oftener if required, with the hand of diligence—2Pe_1:10, and it will be found that this Christ-all compound—Mat_8:17, will cure all kinds of ailments—Mat_8:16.
