787. Specified Need

We must name the kind of mercy we need if we would experience the ministry of mercy. Answered prayer is the meeting of specified need, hence—

1. David cried for pardon—Psa_51:9.

2. Peter for salvation—Mat_14:30.

3. Leper for cleansing—Mar_1:40.

4. Dying thief for remembrance—Luk_23:42.

5. Publican for mercy—Luk_18:13.

6. The Syrophenician woman for help—Mat_15:25.

7. The blind man for sight—Mar_10:51.

We must know what we want if we would know the Lord who can meet it.
