805. “Strong” Things

1. Abraham was “strong in faith,” because he believed what Jehovah said (Rom_4:20).

2. Christ in the extremity of His need poured out His soul in prayer in “strong crying and tears” (Heb_5:7).

3. The “strong meat” of God’s Word is not for babes, but for those who are fully grown in grace and faith (Heb_5:12, Heb_5:14).

4. “Strong consolation” is found by those who rest in God’s faithful Word and oath (Heb_6:18).

5. Those who are weak in themselves find they are “strong” in God’s grace (2Co_12:10).

6. Those who are “strong in the Lord” have the ability to put on the whole armour of God (Eph_6:10).

7. To be “made strong” through the ability of the Lord is to find ourselves capable in His power (Act_3:16; 2Ti_2:1).
