I. The Object of God’s Love. "The world." In all its darkness, guilt, hopelessness.

II. The Manifestation of God’s Love. "Gave His Son." This the result of God’s calculation of the world’s need.

III. The Purpose of this Manifestation.

1. To Reveal His Attitude towards All. "Loved."

2. To Make Salvation Possible for All. "Whosoever believeth."

3. To Make Salvation Certain to Every Believer. "Not perish, but have."
