848. The World

1. Self is its Centre. “You… walking according to this world” (Eph_2:2).

2. Pleasure is its Pursuit. “Having loved this present world” (2Ti_4:10).

3. Lust is its Food. “Corruption that is in the world” (2Pe_1:4).

4. Applause is its Aim. “The world wondered after the beast” (Rev_13:3).

5. Money is its God. “Them that are rich in this world” (1Ti_6:17).

6. Satan is its God. “The God of this world” (2Co_4:4).

7. Reason is its Authority. “Wisdom of this world” (1Co_2:6-8).

8. Present Life is its Sphere. “This present evil world” (Gal_1:4).

9. Seeing is its Faith. “Shewed Him all the kingdoms of the world” (Mat_4:8).

10. Judgment is its End “Judge the world in righteousness” (Act_17:31).
