933. Walk in the Spirit

Gal_5:25

What does it mean to walk in the Spirit? It means at least the following seven things:

1. “In the love of God” (Jud_1:21) is the sphere of the believer’s affection.

2. “In the truth” is the atmosphere of the saint’s sanctification (Joh_17:17).

3. “In the Lord” is the sphere of the Christian’s joy (Php_4:4).

4. “In the Vine” is the element of the branch’s fruitfulness (Joh_15:5).

5. “In the light” is the place of the child’s fellowship (1Jn_1:7).

6. “In the grace” of God is the environment of the servant’s fitness (2Ti_2:1).

7. “In the Spirit” is the supply of the saved one’s need (Eph_5:18, R.V., margin).
