What Daniel Says About Christ As King

"And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed" (Dan_7:14)

Of course, we all know that the Book of Daniel, is full of glorious prophecies, but we will note only two.

1. The little stone, cut out without hands, in the second chapter, which smote the great colossus of Nebuchadnezzar's dream, is also Jesus Christ. That stone becomes a great mountain and fills the whole earth. Thus in the days of those kings, "will the God of Heaven set up a Kingdom." This Kingdom is the same one as described in chapter 7, and Christ is King.

2. In chapter 7, Jer_3:13 and Jer_3:14 we read: "I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of Man came with the clouds of Heaven, and came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him; His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." In this prophecy we catch an enlarged vision, for Jesus is to reign not only over Israel, the twelve tribes; but the Kingdom will, in its sway take in all the kingdoms of earth, until He shall be King of kings, and Lord of lords.
