988. Words of Christ

1. Lasting Words, for they “shall not pass away” (Mat_24:35).

2. Arresting Words, for the disciples were astonished at them” (Mar_10:24).

3. “Gracious Words,” for they contained wondrous truths (Luk_4:22).

4. Living Words, for they contain the Holy Spirit and life—Joh_6:63, Joh_6:68.

5. Inspiring Words, for they lead us to pray aright—Joh_15:7.

6. The Father’s Words, for He passed them on—Joh_17:8.

7. Repeated Words, for He said of them, “These are the words which I spake” (Luk_24:44).
