Israel Restored to Her Land

"Thou saith the Lord God; When I shall hare gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, * * they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence" (Eze_28:25-26)

Let us begin our study by reading a remarkable Scripture:

"And I will bring them (Israel) out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, * * and I will make them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land; and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods: * * And I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. * * And they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them" (Eze_34:13, Eze_34:25-26, Eze_34:27).

How glorious will it be when Israel shall no longer fear her enemies! To-day she shrinks and hides from their faces. In some countries whither she has been driven, she dreads the sound of the moving of the leaves, for she knows not when some foe will fall upon her. Go to far away Russia, where millions of Jews live, and consider her lot. May the day hasten when Israel, shall dwell safely in her own land, sleeping, even in the woods, without fear.

Israel has never possessed all of her territorial stretches. Even her balmiest days did not see her inhabiting all her boundaries. Until this hour much of her land has been held by aliens, and its title deed's lie in the hands of her national enemies. Israel, however, holds a title, deeded to her by the Lord God Almighty, the Creator of Heaven and earth.

When God divided the nations and gave them their inheritance, He set their boundaries in regard to Israel, the people who bear His name.

Any nation or any individual who holds deeds to those land's included in God's original grant to Israel, had better examine their titles more carefully. Just as the seven nations, "squatters" upon Canaan's soil, were driven out under Joshua, so will the present-day "squatters" be driven out when Christ returns and restores to Israel her rightful inheritance.

Listen to a word written by the fingers of the Living God; and made sure by His unchanging oath:

"I will bring them (Israel) again into their land,

That I have given unto their fathers * *

And I will gather the remnant of My flock Out of all the countries whither I have driven them:

And I will bring them again to their folds * *

And I will raise unto David a Righteous Branch,

And a King shall rise and prosper * *

In His day Judah shall be saved

And Israel shall dwell in safety * *

And they shall dwell in their own land."
