The Old Testament characters in many instances, present beautiful and striking types of the Lord Jesus Christ. Of course, none of these types are perfect, because each Old Testament character had his failures and faults, and in this the type is necessarily broken.

A failure of types, however, to meet every outline of the One typified, in no way disannuls the type.

The Bible speaks of the children of Israel, as types and ensamples unto us.

The Bible speaks of Hosea as a type of Christ, when God said unto Hosea, "Go yet, love a woman * * according to the love of the Lord toward the children of Israel" (Hos_3:1).

The Bible speaks of Moses as a type, when it says, "Who was faithful to Him that appointed him, as also Moses was" (Heb_3:2).

Again we read: "Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; but Christ as a Son over His own house" (Heb_3:5-6).

Noah was a type of Christ

Abraham was a type of Christ.

Joseph was a type of Christ.

Moses was a type of Christ.

Aaron was a type of Christ.

Jeremiah was a type of Christ.

And so, also, many others were types of Christ.

In this lesson, we propose to study Job as a type of Christ.

May the Holy Spirit direct us in this blessed work.
