Job Was the Greatest Man of the East

"This man was the greatest of all the men of the East" (Job_1:3).

God Himself bore a great witness of Job, when He said unto satan: "Hast thou considered My servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth?" Thus Job was not only greatest among the men of the East, but he was greatest among all men of the earth.

The Lord Jesus Christ, in answer to this type, holds a precedence over men from every viewpoint. He is greater than men because He is the Creator of men. He is greater than men because in Him, men move and have their being. He is greater than men because men are from beneath and He is from above.

Although Christ was greater than men, He was still reckoned among men. He was born of a virgin; He became flesh; He moved among men as the Head of a new race. He was the Second Man, the Last Adam.

Jesus Christ is greater than men because He is the only one, born of the flesh, Who had the Divine right to receive the homage and worship of men.

Jesus Christ is greater than men, because all men in Heaven and on earth will fall down and acknowledge Him Lord.
