THE ATTITUDE of CHRIST TOWARD The Rich (Mar_10:21).

THE ATTITUDE of CHRIST TOWARD The Poor (Luk_4:18).

THE ATTITUDE of CHRIST TOWARD The Sinner (Luk_19:10).

THE ATTITUDE of CHRIST TOWARD The Outcast (Joh_8:11).

THE ATTITUDE of CHRIST TOWARD The Criminal (Luk_23:43).

THE ATTITUDE of CHRIST TOWARD The Religionists (Mat_23:37).

THE ATTITUDE of CHRIST TOWARD The Backsliders (Luk_22:31-32).

The Holy Spirit tells us that we are in this world in Christ's stead, we are here with His Word and work committed to our trust.

The Book of Acts is no more than a record of the continuation of the work which Christ began. Its opening statement says: "Of all that Jesus began both to do and teach." The inference remains, therefore, that the saints are to continue both to do and to teach.

Before our Lord left this earth, He prayed in the upper room: "As My Father hath sent Me, even so send I you."

A little later, at the Mount of Olives, He gave His commission: "All power is given unto Me in Heaven and on earth, Go * * and lo, I am with you." There is nothing that should solemnize our hearts more than to consider that our Lord has gone, and left us to carry forward the work which He began.

He has promised to be with us, to back us with all of His authority and power; He has vouchsafed to us the enduement of the Holy Spirit, and He has said unto us: "Greater works than these shall he do."

The objective of this lesson is to study the compassion of Christ and to view His attitude toward various classes of men and conditions of life, and then to seek to emulate Him in all of these things.

The Lord Jesus never failed to see the need of the multitude, His ear was open to their cry.

The Lord Jesus had a hand ever ready to help, and a heart ever ready to respond to stricken man.

He seemed to live entirely outside of Himself; He thought of others. He moved about in their behalf and finally He went to the Cross and died for others. Even to-day the Lord Jesus still thinks and still cares. He ever liveth for us.
