One in Omnipresence

"Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill Heaven and earth? saith the Lord" (Jer_23:24).

1. God the Father Is Present Everywhere

"One God and Father of all, who is above all, * * and in you all" (Eph_4:6).

"He is Lord of heaven and earth" (Act_17:24).

"Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord" (Jer_23:24).

The Father fills all things, He is everywhere. This does not mean that God is not a person, and that He does not have a throne in the Heavens, but it does mean that He has a presence that encompasses Heaven and earth.

"All things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do." "Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight."

"The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth."

If men dig into hell, His hand will take them; if they climb up to Heaven, He will bring them down; if they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, He will take them out thence; though they be hid from His sight in the bottom of the sea, He will command the serpent, and he shall bite them.

2. God the Son Is Present Everywhere

"Even the Son of man who (1911 Bible) is in heaven" (Joh_3:13).

"Lo, I am with you alway" (Mat_28:20).

"That He might fill all things" (Eph_4:10).

When Jesus Christ was upon earth, He was, so far as His body was concerned, circumscribed; but even while He was among men, He was everywhere.

When Nicodemus stood before Jesus Christ, Christ said unto him, "No man hath ascended up to Heaven, but He that came down from Heaven, even the Son of Man which is in Heaven."

Thus the Lord claimed to be present in Heaven, although He was, bodily, upon the earth.

After His resurrection, Christ told His disciples that He would be with them, even unto the end of the age. With them, and yet bodily He went to be with the Father.

The very statement made of the Father, "Do I not fill Heaven and earth?" is made concerning the Son, "that He might fill all things."

3. God the Holy Spirit Is Present Everywhere

"Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into Heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there" (Psa_139:7-8).

The Spirit of God is everywhere, the darkness never covers from Him, the night will shine as the day, and the darkness will be as the light.

The Spirit of God knows our downsitting, and our uprising, He understandeth our thoughts afar off. He compasses our path and our lying down, and is acquainted with all of our ways.

There is not a word in our tongue but what He knows it altogether. He besets us behind and before.

Such knowledge is wonderful; it is true only because the Spirit of God is everywhere.

Surely God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are one Lord, one in omnipresence.
