Three Distinct Persons Are Seen in the Admonition of Jude

"Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ.

"Praying in the Holy Ghost" (Jdg_1:21, Jdg_1:20).

We have before us the "love" of the Father, the anticipated "mercy" of the Son, and the present-hour "praying" in the Spirit.

The Father and His love is differentiated from the Son and His mercy and from the praying in the Spirit. Three persons are plainly seen because there are plainly three persons to be seen. Each person is distinct from the other, else Jude's words would be meaningless. Each person is one with the other, and constitutes one God, for each holds attributes which belong only to God.

We think it might be stated thus: One God in holy attributes, but three persons in glorious manifestation.
