Three Distinct Persons Are Seen in a Message Upon the Church

"I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the Church of God, which He hath purchased with His own Blood" (Act_20:27-28).

Our final Scripture presents the Father and His counsel; the Son and His Church; the Spirit and His command.

We are told that Paul did not shun to declare the whole counsel of God; we are told that the Church of God was purchased with His own Blood; we are told that the Holy Spirit has made certain ones overseers over the flock.

In Act_20:27, the Father is spoken of as God, in Act_20:28, the Son is spoken of as God; thus the Father and the Son are each very God, but they are not the same person, because the Father did not die upon the Cross, it was God the Son Who died. Scripture positively states, "Take heed * * to feed the flock of God, which He purchased with HIS OWN BLOOD."

In the same passage the Holy Spirit is taking charge of the Church, giving command, and placing over the flock the overseers who should have charge thereof.

These are marvelous words, they plainly declare three persons, but they as plainly declare that the three persons constitute one Lord.
