The Altar of Incense

The Shittim Wood (Exo_30:1).

The Highest Piece of Furniture in the Tabernacle (Exo_30:2).

The Pure Gold and the Horns (Exo_30:3).

The Rings and the Staves (Exo_30:4-5).

The Altar before the Vail (Exo_30:6).

The Sweet Incense (Exo_30:7).

The Perpetual Incense (Exo_30:8).

No Strange Fire (Exo_30:9).

The Blood upon the Horns (Exo_30:10).

Every detail in the Tabernacle and its furnishings is full of spiritual significance. It is our purpose now to consider the Altar of Incense. The 30th chapter of Exodus will supply the basis for our remarks. We will only pick out of each verse, one or two distinctive statements; as we study we pray that the Holy Ghost may burn His message into our hearts; and may the Word of God in all its Divine beauty shed forth a light ineffable, and full of glory.
