GOD DOESN’T NEED YOUR HELP; HE WANTS YOUR PRAYERS

God has all the power and ability necessary to change you or your mate. Truthfully, there is nothing you can do to change your mate. The only person you can change is yourself.

Your prayers become God’s instrument of change in your marriage. How? By changing you! Instead of praying, “Oh God, change my mate.” Start praying, “Oh God, change me!”

So, how can you pray for your spouse? Try praying this way:

Lord, open my mate’s eyes to see you face to face. Open my mate’s ears to hear you clearly. Open my mate’s heart to receive all that you have to deposit in him. Empower my mate to become a willing, living sacrifice wholly dedicated to you. Amen.

Remember that God loves you too much to leave you the way you are. Prayer changes the one praying. Praying become the change agent in your marriage relationship.

Prayer is the language of spiritual intimacy between you and your partner. Share your deepest needs with each other and God through prayer.

Try this: Find an area in your relationship that both of you agree needs changing. Pray in agreement, surrendering that area to God and asking Him to totally change you.

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.

James 5:16
