31 PRAY TO INCREASE LOVE.

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment.

     —Philippians 1:9

Love intensifies as we pray. How is that? God is love. We love because He first loved us. When we commune with God in pray, we are surrounded by and indwelt richly by His love.

The more iron is in contact with electricity the more magnetized it becomes. The more we dwell in His presence, the more we abound in love. The more we pray, the more His contagious love fills and overflows us.

God’s love increases the knowledge of Him. Knowledge means intimacy and closeness. Intimacy with God fosters a deeper hunger to be with Him, to pray, to worship, to adore Him more and more.

God’s love intensifies discernment. Knowing spiritually what’s happening … discerning spirits increases with loving God.

Pray for the love to increase so that those for whom you pray may know Him and discern the spiritual climate around them.

Increase the love in ________. May they know You. May they discern the spiritual climate around them rightly dividing the word of truth you give them. Amen.
