36 PRAY FOR BLESSING.
Then Jacob asked, saying, “Tell me Your name, I pray.” And He said, “Why is it that you ask about My name?” And He blessed him there.
—Gen. 32:29
Pray to Elohim, the God of creation. Pray to Yahweh, the “I am.” Pray to El-Shaddai, the Almighty God who provides for our needs. Pray to Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals.
Pray to El-Shammai. Be blessed by His presence. Let El-Ro’i be your shepherd. Let Adonai be your Lord.
Seeking His name brings the blessing of God’s authority and power. Prayer postures receptivity. Prayer receives His power to break every curse in life.
To ask His Name is a confession that I do not have the revelation of Him that I need in my life. I can only receive that revelation by grace.
God speaks His name to that place of weakness in my life so that His strength can replace my weakness; his health can replace my sickness; his blessing can break every curse.
All I need is His Name. God’s name unlocks the door to my blessing.
Too many people seek His blessing and come away empty-handed in prayer. Seek His name and His blessing will follow.
Lord,
Reveal to me Your name that will release
Your wind
Your presence
Your power
Your blessing in me. Amen.
