67 FIND WAYS TO GIVE GENEROUSLY TO EACH OTHER
Giving starts at home. I have met families that have actually deprived their children of food so they could give an offering.
Our primary responsibility is toward our marriage and families. We tithe and we sow extravagantly into our spouses and children, knowing that the kingdom harvest to come through them will see many people saved, healed and delivered.
Of course there is nothing wrong with sacrificing for the Lord’s work. Giving up our stuff in order to give an offering must be part of our giving patterns. But we give generously at home to bless our family so they can fulfill their destiny in Christ.
How has your spouse experienced your extravagant generosity this week? How have you given freely of your time and money toward your spouse?
Try this: Save up and surprise your spouse with an extravagant gift that has no other motivation behind it than to say, “I love you extravagantly. This gift is the best of its kind that I can give you. I always want to give you my best.”
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
