48 PURPOSE SPEAKS TO A CHILD’S POTENTIAL; IDENTITY SPEAKS TO A CHILD’S DESTINY.

48 PURPOSE SPEAKS TO A CHILD’S POTENTIAL;
IDENTITY SPEAKS TO A CHILD’S DESTINY.

“God never starts anything He hasn’t already finished,” teaches Myles Monroe.

How true. God instills purpose in all He creates. Your child was created with meaning and purpose. The good work He began in your child, God will see through to completion.

We must imitate God’s way of parenting. Everything we say, teach, and do with our child must be on-purpose. We are raising a child in the fear of the Lord. If our words and actions point to the Father, we are on purpose. If they point to anything else, we are off-purpose.

The purpose within a child is always unfolding. It is never fully realized until that child comes to face to face with Jesus at Christ’s seat of judgment.

A purpose is not a goal or an objective. We continually realize objectives and reach goals as we journey toward our purpose in life. Ultimately, we all have the ultimate purpose of being “in Christ” and of “worshipping and serving God.” Jesus said, “You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve” (Matt 4:10).

Identity reveals destiny. One of the key questions your child will ask is, “Who am I?” He will discover the answer to that question when he finally asks, “Whose am I?” The identity crisis of every child is resolved when he receives Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus reveals that we “belong to Christ” (Mark 9:41).

When a child’s identity is “in Christ,” then he knows his destiny—to rule and reign on high with Him!

For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth” (Rev. 5:9–10).
