75 SOW INTO YOUR CHILDREN TO GIVE THEM
SEED, NOT ONLY FRUIT.
“If you can hold it in your hand, it’s your seed, not the harvest.” When I first heard that phrase, I was challenged as I had not been in some time.
I began to think of all the times I held in my hands what I thought was the harvest and wondered why it didn’t go very far. Now I knew why—it was my seed.
Think about your children. What have you sown into their lives? Have you sown abundantly so that when the harvest comes, they will have seed of their own to plant?
What are you sowing?
• Anger
• Resentment
• Love
• Charity
• Finances
• Greed
• Blessing
• Cursing
What you sow into their lives you will reap—not only for you, but for them as well. What legacy are you going to leave in their lives?
I encourage you to sow love, charity, blessing, material wealth, integrity, faithfulness, and mercy. These will bring an abundant harvest that will last them a lifetime.
Begin today to sow generously in your child. I promise that the harvest will be great and will continue long past your wildest dreams.
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work (2 Cor. 9:6–8). Action Steps I/We Need to Take
